Jon Krohn, our Chief Data Scientist, has been publishing peer-reviewed papers on machine learning since 2010, including within the most competitive venue in the field, Neural Information Processing Systems.
Following completion of his doctorate in neuroscience from Oxford University, Jon cut his commercial data science teeth by developing algorithms for financial and digital advertising markets. Since joining untapt in 2015, Jon and our data science team have leveraged cutting-edge approaches like Deep-Learning Artificial Neural Networks to optimize the selection and growth of teams.
Jon has published a series of popular interactive tutorials on Addison-Wesley, including Deep Learning with TensorFlow, and he teaches Deep Learning at the NYC Data Science Academy. His textbook Deep Learning Illustrated will be published in 2018.
