  • Untapt Will Be Showcased as a New Technology in the Futures, Options and Cleared Swaps Industry

New York, 13 October 2015 — FIA announced that untapt is one of twenty companies selected for the FIA Expo Innovators Pavilion, a showcase for startup companies providing forward-thinking solutions for the futures, options and cleared swaps industry.

untapt is one of twelve companies announced today—eight additional companies were announced on Sept. 17. untapt will will be featured on the Expo show floor to showcase their technology and offerings, and CEO Ed Donner will have the opportunity to give a live presentation on-stage to Expo attendees.

“We’re excited to be part of the Innovators Pavilion at this year’s FIA Expo,” says Donner. “Our technology reinvents the way financial services companies and FinTech startups connect with and hire tech talent. It allows firms to grow faster, to keep up with or exceed the speed at which the industry is going, and be innovative leaders themselves.”

untapt is a digital marketplace that matches high-quality tech talent to positions in the FinTech space, filling a key industry pain point of identifying qualified developers and engineers to build on the fast-paced technological innovation occurring in big banks and FinTech startups alike.

The Innovators Pavilion is a new feature at the annual FIA Futures and Options Expo in Chicago. With more than 5,000 people attending, the FIA Expo is the largest gathering of derivatives industry professionals in the world. Attendees include senior executives from brokerage firms, exchanges, trading firms and service providers.

“We’re thrilled that the FIA Expo Innovators Pavilion attracted so many exceptional, forward-thinking applicants. The 20 companies chosen as Innovators represent an exciting range of industry services,” said Rob Creamer, FIA board member and chairman of FIA Principal Traders Group, who chaired the Innovators Pavilion selection committee. “FIA is proud to offer them a platform to showcase new ideas, forge connections, and drive investment in innovation in the cleared derivatives industry.”

untapt and other Innovators were selected on the basis of applications that were submitted and reviewed by a committee of industry experts assembled by FIA. View the full list of FIA Innovators here.
